Nova Scotia: Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy

Seaforth supports the activities of the Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE) through data acquisition, interpretation/assessment. Seaforth also manages the FORCE data repository. ArcGIS is used to fulfill on demand charting and data requests from project partners, as well as to maintain all FORCE related data in a unified repository. Seaforth provides project management and consulting for various ‘berth holders’, providing advanced technical services and coordination of research and development objectives.

Deep Geotechnical Marine Investigations

Seaforth act as prime contractor and project manager for a multitude of worldwide deep geotechnical investigations on behalf of EPC firms or direct to the project proponents. Seaforth’s reputation for innovative solutions in this sector delivered on time and on budget has resulted in further project opportunities in multiple geographies. Seaforth facilitates delivery of shallow and deep borehole sampling/PCPT and laboratory sample analysis through its project partners and specialty subcontractors utilizing marine assets including DP and four point anchored drillships, jack-up platforms or barges.

Maritime Delimitation, Marine Legislation & Extended Continental Shelf Consulting

As part of its specialized capability in UNCLOS Article 76 (Law of the Sea) consulting services, Seaforth has developed an internationally renowned team of legal, technical and engineering professionals to deliver turnkey solutions for a State’s challenges in Extended Continental Shelf (ECS) submissions to the UN, accompanying maritime legislation, coastal zone and offshore resource management, design and delivery of hardware and software solutions, and specialized training. Current long term consulting contracts include the governments of Nigeria and Pakistan.

Conception Bay, Newfoundland: Munitions & Explosives of Concern (MEC) Survey & Data Management

Seaforth provided precise navigation to a third party for the acquisition ROV and sidescan sonar data over the wrecks of the SS Saganaga and PLM 27. Upon the conclusion of the survey operations Seaforth was contact by Client to reprocess, map and interpret the sidescan sonar data acquired by the third party to identify MEC targets of interest.

Gulfo de Ancud, Chile: Route Geomorphological & Potential Geohazard Review

Utilising third party multibeam echosounder data Seaforth performed a data assessment of a proposed submarine transmission cable route across the Gulfo de Ancud, Chile. The data assessment consisted of a geomorphological interpretation of the supplied data and the identification of potential risks to the proposed cable route.
