In August of 2018, Seaforth personnel joined Legends of the Deep film series hosts, Celine and Fabien Cousteau, to provide Seaforth’s expertise in seabed mapping to collect detailed, high-resolution multibeam bathymetry near the “Shag Harbour Rip” area of interest, purported to be the location of a sunken UFO just offshore of Shag Harbour, NS. This data was post-processed into seafloor maps of the area as background information for an upcoming episode of the television series, produced by Cineflix (Ocean Mysteries) Inc.
