In the spring of 2017, Emera Inc. contracted Seaforth Geosurveys Inc. to conduct a preliminary route investigation survey for the Emera’s proposed Atlantic Link Project. Seaforth conducted a phase I survey of the area of interest, acquiring both bathymetric and sub-bottom profile data used to identify the most suitable route for the transborder transmission cable linking Canada and New England, USA (Coleson Cove, NB <> Plymouth, MA). A phase II survey was conducted in November of the same year.
