In the spring of 2016, LS Cable & Systems Canada Inc. contracted Seaforth Geosurveys to conduct a geotechnical survey using cone penetration testing and vibrocores offshore of Cape Tormentine, NB in support of the Cable Supply and Install for PEI-NB Interconnection Upgrade project.
Later in the Fall, Seaforth was contracted by Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks to survey the seafloor morphology to investigate a feasible cable route to be designed installed within the cable route corridor between Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, FR and Newfoundland, CA.
