Seafloor Infrastructure Inspection & Assessment Survey
In February of 2020, Seaforth Geosurveys Inc. assisted Sustainable Marine Energy (Canada) Ltd. in the provision of sidescan sonar survey over an existing export cable and its associated deployed assets (clump weights/ground lines) at the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (FORCE) Crown Lease Area in the Minas Passage, upper Bay of Fundy. The acquired survey data was used as support for a seafloor infrastructure inspection and assessment of the export cable.
During survey operations, Seaforth also acquired sidescan sonar data along the northern edge of a volcanic plateau for the identification of any additional deployed assets and potential debris.
