Marine Terminal Extension, Saint John NB

In September, Seaforth undertook a high-resolution multibeam echosounder bathymetric survey of the proposed area for the marine terminal extension project in Saint John, New Brunswick. The bathymetric survey served as a basis of the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) effort using Seaforth’s R2Sonic 2024 multibeam echosounder, with tidal height corrections applied in real-time. A shore based Real-Time-Kinematic (RTK) system established over a known monument supplied the vertical component of the RTK GPS by determining the vessel’s real-time height above ellipsoid.
