Geotechnical Drilling for a Deep-water Port, Uruguay

Seaforth recently completed a geotechnical site investigation offshore Rocha, Uruguay. The site investigation enabled identification of in situ soil conditions and pertinent geotechnical data parameters to assist in a dredging assessment and associated foundation design for the proposed Deep Water Port Project.

Seaforth subcontracted the geotechnical drilling operations to Geoquip Marine UK Ltd (GMUK), utilizing the drilling vessel, MV Investigator. GMUK successfully carried out drilling operations, consisting of twelve alternating sampling and PCPT boreholes over the proposed area with onboard and shore laboratory testing of the recovered samples.
