Fundy Isles Cable Replacement Project

Between July and August of 2019, DeepOcean UK Ltd. contracted Dominion Diving Ltd. to survey and provide verification of a proposed marine geophysical route for the Fundy Isles Cable Replacement (FICR) project near the entrance to the Bay of Fundy in Eastern Canada. Seaforth Geosurveys Inc. conducted both multibeam echosounder and sidescan sonar surveys to investigate and identify the most suitable route to replace the submarine cable system currently existing between Deer Island, Campobello Island and Grand Manan Island.

Seaforth also assisted in obtaining current speed measurements and station keeping trials of the M/V Dominion Warrior, prior to its use in the support of the cable laying operation.
