Navigational Support for Assessment Trial

In Mid-August of 2014, the Fundy Ocean research Centre for Energy contracted Seaforth Geosurveys Inc. in the provision of equipment and expertise in navigational support on board the M/V Point Vim during an assessment trial along the proposed water cable routes nearest to Black Rock in the Minas Passage, Bay of Fundy. The objective of the assessment trial was to determine whether the vessel could effectively and safely maintain coarse along the propose power cable routes to the south and east of Black Rock during ebb tide flow conditions, including evaluating the extent of cross-currents acting against the vessel.
